Peruvian Ground Apple (Yacón)

The yacón is a species of daisy which is traditionally grown in the northern and central Andes from Colombia to northern Argentina.
It is known for its crisp, sweet-tasting, tuberous roots.

It’s that time of year!! 🤩

A variety of bitter greens come into season. Bitter foods support digestion, stimulate the liver and can help the body absorb certain nutrients.

We have available endive, chicory, radicchio, kale, brussels, a variety of cabbages, broccoli and plenty more 💚🥬🥦

Sautéing them in olive oil, and lots of garlic is a great way to eat them.

Local and just picked off the tree!

Ever eaten fresh pistachios?

They are soft, subtle, sweet, fresh and nutty. Ripe pistachios sit on trees like bunches of baby pink coloured flowers. Up close you’ll see the nuts are covered with a light pink, mango smelling hull that must be removed by squeezing the nut between your thumb and forefinger…its easy.

The nut inside has a shell that has pre-split and you can see the green kernel within! 🤩

Such a true delight ❤️
