I'm deeply honoured to share that I was recognised as one of three inaugural life members of the Game Fowl Club of WA at its 20th anniversary show at the weekend.

The Club has been part of my poultry passion for so long, and to receive this honour alongside Keven Nordstrom and John Green, both who have also given so much to the club, was an incredibly proud moment.

Thank you to the club and everyone involved for their support. People make shows and its always so encouraging to see everyone enjoying the culture of friendship we pride ourselves on at the Game Fowl Club Show.

Congratulations to Keven and John for your thoroughly deserved recognition, your loyal support while I was in the chair, and the many years of service you have given and continue to give.

To cap off the extra special weekend, my Black Red OEG Bantam c**k was awarded Champion Bird in Show.

Thank you to the many people who have supported my poultry journey, I'm truly grateful.

For almost 30 years, poultry has been a big part of my life, and I've enjoyed tremendous success with my birds.

But over this year's festive break I've had reason to think about priorities, responsibilities, and other passions that I want to pursue more.

It's led me to the difficult realisation that something has to give.

Due to various reasons, my passion for my poultry has waned in recent years and so the hard decision has been made that it's my poultry that has to give, for the foreseeable future.

That means I'll be offloading a lot of stock this year. It's not going to be a complete dispersal, but I intend to have a major cutback.

There are a few shows I'll plan to show at this year and judging appointments to fulfil, then i'll be taking an indefinite break.

I'll also be cutting back on my collections of books and collectibles and will post these for sale on various pages over the next few months. If anyone has any interest in anything please send me a message.

Most of the birds will be sold later in the season when the young ones have grown and reached their potential, but I do have some past show birds and current breeding stock in Wheaten (Black & Blue Tail), Ginger and Ginger Pile available now to anyone interested, preferably to stay in Western Australia as I don't have time currently to travel to Perth for transport.
