🥧 Did you know a Thermomix can do THIS?

Tonight’s dinner was oxtail shepherd’s pie — and honestly, if ever there was a dish that showed me what the TM7 is capable of, this was it.

The oxtail was:

🔥 sautéed on high heat
⏱️ then cooked gently for around 4½ hours
🥔 while the leek & potato mash was made for the topping

All in the Thermomix.

And because I’m fortunate enough to have a second machine, I simply started the mash in the other one while the oxtail kept cooking.

That meant no stopping, no swapping bowls, no waiting around.

Just one long, slow, rich cook happening in one machine while the second got on with the topping.

And THIS is what I mean when I say the TM7 is not just for quick meals.

It can sauté.
It can slow cook.
It can mash.
It can cook open-bowl.
It can quietly get on with dinner while you get on with life. 💚

And the finished result?

Rich, comforting, proper winter food. 😍

What’s the longest-cooking dish you’ve ever made in your Thermomix?

🌿 $6.50 for 200g oregano… or around $3.50 for just 25g at the supermarket.

That’s the sort of maths that makes me stop and think. 😂

Yesterday I went to Gaganis Bros and stocked up on herbs and spices — but I also deliberately bought quite a few of them whole.

Whole nutmeg.
Whole cinnamon.
Whole spices.

Why?

Because my Thermomix can grind them down when I actually need them.

That means:

✨ fresher flavour
✨ stronger aroma
✨ less sitting around already ground and losing its punch
✨ and often a much better price when you buy wisely

To me, this is another part of the whole Thermomix story that gets overlooked.

It isn’t just a machine that follows recipes.

It can also give you a little bit of the manufacturer’s power on your own bench.

You decide what goes in.
You decide how much to make.
You decide how fresh you want it.

And the taste? SO much better. 💚

$1.87 for a whole hand of bananas… why wouldn’t you?

They were already heading toward that lovely spotted stage where some people walk straight past them.

Me?

I saw banana bread. 😂

One of the things I love most about cooking with a Thermomix is being able to look at what’s cheap, what needs using, or what I already have — and turn it into something useful.

A few bananas, pantry basics and a couple of minutes with the TM7 later…

➡️ mix made
➡️ loaf tin filled
➡️ banana bread in the oven
➡️ afternoon tea sorted

And I’d much rather spend $1.87 on bananas thatneed using than throw $8–$10 at something similar from the shops.

🇸🇬💚 Singapore was extraordinary… but there really is no place like home.

I’ve just returned from the most unbelievable Thermomix trip — completely spoilt, inspired, fed, entertained and surrounded by some wonderful people.

There is SO much I want to share with you over the next few weeks… the food, the cooking, the people, the TM7, the experiences and a few exciting things that are coming next. 👀

But first… home. ❤️

I walked back into my own kitchen and Bob had made a special dinner for us — including chocolate mousse for dessert.

And because this is our house, it wasn’t ordinary chocolate mousse. 😂

🍫 Rich, chocolatey and beautifully smooth
💚 Only around 18g carbs per serve
😋 And absolutely delicious

After several days of spectacular Singapore food, sitting at our own table eating something Bob had made in the Thermomix was rather lovely.

Wonderful to go away. Wonderful to be spoilt. But VERY lovely to be home.

Now… who wants to hear what we got up to in Singapore? 🇸🇬😂💚

**What I actually do…**

I help busy people work out what on earth to cook for dinner.

I show families how to make real food without spending all evening in the kitchen — or a fortune at the supermarket.

I help nervous new owners go from staring suspiciously at their Thermomix to saying, “I can’t believe I made that!”

I troubleshoot, deliver bowls, answer frantic messages, share recipes, run cooking experiences, introduce people to new flavours and remind them that cooking doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes I help someone create a little extra income or discover confidence they didn’t know they had.

Sometimes I travel halfway across South Australia with a Thermomix in the car because someone genuinely wants to see what it can do.

And sometimes I simply stand beside someone in their kitchen and help make life feel a little easier.

So yes, I sell Thermomixes.

But the best part of what I do is helping people save time, save money, eat well, feel confident and enjoy being in their kitchen again.

And after more than ten years, I still absolutely love it. 💚

🚲 Day 3 in Bali... and my heart is full. ❤️

One of my favourite memories from our trip was a 20 km bike ride through the villages and rice paddies of rural Bali.

Watching Bob, and Sam (Casey at times lol) enjoying the ride together reminded me just how precious good health really is. These are the moments that become the memories.

One of the highlights for me was chatting with Casey about the rice fields. We talked about how rice is grown, harvested and eventually ends up on our dinner plates.

Needless to say, the conversation quickly turned to...

"When we get home, we'll cook rice in the Thermomix!" 😂

For a little boy who could happily live on plain boiled rice, discovering there's actually a Rice Cooker mode might be the best souvenir we brought home!

Travel has such a wonderful way of teaching us to slow down, stay curious and appreciate where our food comes from.

I'm feeling incredibly grateful for healthy legs to ride, a family to share adventures with, and a business that helps make experiences like this possible.

☀️ Morning gratitude from Sanur, Bali 🌴

Every morning while we were away, I walked along this beach just after sunrise.

It gave me time to think... and mostly to feel incredibly grateful.

Grateful that my little Thermomix business helped pay for this family holiday.
Grateful for the time together.
Grateful for slowing down enough to watch the sun come up.

But more than anything, I'm grateful for the hundreds of families who have trusted me with their own Thermomix journey over the years.

When people think I "sell Thermomix", they're only partly right.

What I really love is helping families find:
❤️ more time together
🥗 healthier meals
💰 savings in the grocery budget
🎨 confidence and creativity in the kitchen

Every delivery, every cooking class, every message asking "how do I...?", every little win when someone discovers their new favourite recipe... that's the part that fills my cup.

This holiday reminded me why I started in the first place.

Bali has reminded me of something important 🌿

In the middle of all the noise — deadlines, school meetings, sales targets, life admin — there’s something powerful about slowing down and just being present.

Watching Casey completely absorbed by a fish pond for half an hour…
Long lunches with family…
Simple food, conversation, no rushing.

And it got me thinking…

This is actually why I started with Thermomix all those years ago.

Not for the appliance itself.
But for what it gives back.

✨ Time
✨ Health
✨ Simplicity
✨ Less overwhelm
✨ More moments around the table

As a mum, grandmother, carer and business owner, I know how chaotic life can get. We’re all trying to do more with less.

I used to think dinner was just… dinner.

Just another thing to get through at the end of a long day.

But when I really stopped and asked myself why I do what I do… it turns out it was never just about the food.

It was about taking pressure off.

After 42 years in policing, raising my family, and now caring for my grandson, I know what it feels like to carry the mental load of everyone.

The appointments.
The school calls.
The routines.
The meltdowns.
The “what’s for dinner?” every single day.

And somewhere in all of that, it’s easy to lose yourself.

That’s why Thermomix became so much more than an appliance for me.

It gave me:
✨ Less stress
✨ More healthy meals
✨ More control over our budget
✨ More time back
✨ More confidence to keep showing upNot perfect.
Not fancy.
Just easier.

And sometimes easier is everything.
