Common Acre Common Acre is a small-scale CSA farm on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Join us to support fair food, healthy soil, and connected local systems.

We grow seasonal, organic veg using low-impact methods and offer weekly veggie box shares to our local community.

Our stir-fry mix — a pop of colour on a rainy day 🌈🌧️

We try our very best to reduce food waste at the source (on the farm). Primarily, that means running a CSA and growing exactly what we need. Any excess we happen upon goes to our wholesale customers.

But sometimes things don’t go to plan. Things get sprouty. Caterpillars move into a whole bed of cabbages. The weeds overtake and reduce crop quality. And that’s when we get creative.

This mix is made up of odds and ends from around the farm: cabbages cut back to their cores where the bugs haven’t got to, sprouting kale, and the centre heads of our sprouting brassicas that don’t quite fit into bunches.

It’s produce that might otherwise have been unsold or turned back into the soil, but instead, it becomes something bloody tasty and beautiful. 💚

And the best bit? It’s perfect for a quick, one-pan meal.

Our farm crew is growing! What started as a one-woman operation a year ago is slowly becoming a team, and we’re pretty excited about it!

Over the next week or so we’ll be introducing the people helping to grow, harvest, pack, and look after the farm.

There’s a lot that goes into growing good food, and we’re so lucky to have an awesome bunch doing it together 🥦💚🥕

A colourful late winter box this week, with the first radishes of the season, some mini red cabbages and the cutest (and tastiest) baby carrots!

Spring is in the air this week and we can’t wait for more variety to come into boxes after the depths of winter. Thanks to all our CSA members for sticking with us through the slower winter months, your support means the world to us!
