Our stir-fry mix — a pop of colour on a rainy day 🌈🌧️
We try our very best to reduce food waste at the source (on the farm). Primarily, that means running a CSA and growing exactly what we need. Any excess we happen upon goes to our wholesale customers.
But sometimes things don’t go to plan. Things get sprouty. Caterpillars move into a whole bed of cabbages. The weeds overtake and reduce crop quality. And that’s when we get creative.
This mix is made up of odds and ends from around the farm: cabbages cut back to their cores where the bugs haven’t got to, sprouting kale, and the centre heads of our sprouting brassicas that don’t quite fit into bunches.
It’s produce that might otherwise have been unsold or turned back into the soil, but instead, it becomes something bloody tasty and beautiful. 💚
And the best bit? It’s perfect for a quick, one-pan meal.
