La Verace LAB – Recipes That Speak | #57 🍕

An ultra-thin Roman-style pizza, rolled out with a rolling pin until perfectly crisp, topped with Fior di Latte, zucchini flowers, anchovies, olive oil & lemon zest: a balance of delicate flavours, savoury notes and a fresh citrus finish.

Its name? #57 – ‘O Gobbo.

In the Neapolitan Smorfia, an ancient folk tradition that associates numbers with images and meanings, number 57 represents ‘O Gobbo – The Hunchback, a symbol of luck and good fortune 🍀

The name also recalls the small “humps” that naturally form on the surface of the pizza as it bakes, turning its imperfections into a distinctive feature of the recipe.

Putting our partners in the spotlight 💛

The Affumicata is the latest special from in Neutral Bay, showcasing quality Italian ingredients, including La Verace Smoked Burrata and Carbone yellow Datterino tomatoes, alongside sausage, basil, olive oil and pepper.

A great example of how the right ingredients can support creativity in the kitchen. The team has this one on the menu for a limited time, so make sure you try it before it’s gone!
