Head Stockperson

We are looking for an experienced, high performing person to head up a stockcamp of eight or more people, working for a family orientated company in central Australia.

You will coordinate the daily work program using horses, (2 wheel) motorbikes & a helicopter to get across often challenging yet highly productive, spectacular country.

We have an experienced, stable team and provide good gear & excellent conditions. We value forward thinking people with a focus on safety, integrity and personal development.

You must be organised, approachable and:

▪️Able to supervise staff & lead by example
▪️Have advanced horsemanship & cattle assessment skills
▪️Adhere to & enforce safety expectations
▪️Observe, identify, consider & solve all sorts of daily challenges
▪️Carry out general maintenance on infrastructure & motorbikes, vehicles & small motors
▪️Initiate communication, keep records & use technology
▪️Maintain a tidy, orderly work & living space; and
▪️Be comfortable stepping into higher duties as required.

This position is based at Ambalindum Aggregation (NT), which spans 1.3 million acres and includes Ambalindum Station, Numery Station & Quartz Hill Outstation. The properties are run as one operation.

The head stockperson works at a leadership level in cattle operations, under the direction of station management and independently while supervising your team.
