Hey followers!
In recent weeks and months we have been inundated with requests about beef for 2025.
In fact, with over 200 animlas worth of orders have been received for this year, and still enquiries rolling in- it was set to be our biggest year by far!
However. There has been a big road block.
We have been unable to obtain sufficient slaughter and processing space within Western Australia.
We’ve done what we can to adhere to the rules, and provide tasty, affordable, quality beef direct to the consumer. But that’s no longer a reality within this state.
As some of you may know, we have been working tirelessly to find an outcome, and will continue to do so! But the stop signs, red tape and green tape have become so prohibitive it’s not looking likely anytime soon.
We will continue to work with those that are keen to enable progress.
But for now, there is a 90 something percent reduction in capacity and we will not be able to fill most requests.
I’d like to thank everybody for their patience in recent times, and support over the last 10 years of growth.
Please push your local coucils, members of parliament and all bureaucrats on this issue, whenever you have the chance.
Ask them why youre struggling to access high quality, cost effective red meat within WA?
And what Is being done to improve market access for producers.
It is not a well known fact just how much red tape and restriction adds to the price of food. Unfortunately this is going to get drastically worse as time goes on without change.
This doesnt just affect branded labels such as Tara Beef. It affects all producers that sell within WA. It’s even starting to bight the small local butchers.
So, sorry i cant provide more positive news, but as time goes on i sure hope that will change.
This isnt game over, merely pause for recalibration!
Thanks
🥩
