The Rockhampton Show was a success!!! Everything we entered placed, with the kids winning both junior categories, and our Araucana eggs won as well.

Massive shout out to Luke Schneider ( Yaamba pekins ) for presenting magnificent birds and taking out Supreme Fowl of Show with his Cuckoo Pekin cockeral, and Reserve Supreme Fowl of Show with a Rhode Island Red pullet, amongst other winnings! You've done the breeds and yourself proud and glad to see all your hard work paying off 👏🏆

Well, everyone has been washed, blow dried, burritoed 🌯 (roosters hate this hahaha), and given the full day spa treatment. There's tough competition this year, though we are especially hoping for our little ones to place after all their hard work.

PSA, when attending any show, please refrain your children and yourself from touching the birds. We know how tempting it can be, but it's for the biosecurity of the birds on display and your birds at home too! We want everyone's birds to be safe and healthy 👍

We had a great time at the The Ridgelands Show on Saturday! We hoped to enter birds but they were already full when we went to register, unfortunately :-(. Congrats on those that entered birds and placed this year!

We did take home places in other sections in the pavilions, such as Luke's weather vane! Did you know he makes them to order, customising the colours to what your aesthetic is? They make a great gift for the crazy chicken 🐔 people in your life, and for the person that loves functional gifts 🎁 :-)
