Join Permaculture Hunter for an inspiring and practical workshop exploring one of the core permaculture principles — Design from Patterns to Details.
In this hands-on session, Will from Maplewood Permaculture will guide participants through the early stages of permaculture property design, including how to establish a base map and undertake a simple site sector analysis. These foundational tools help reveal how sun, wind, water, access, and movement shape a landscape before moving into detailed planning and planting.
The workshop will also include a few simple illustration and sketching techniques to help participants visually map ideas and observations. No prior drawing experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore your site through design thinking.
Bring along paper and pencils if you’d like to sketch and participate in the interactive activities.
Whether you’re new to permaculture or looking to deepen your design skills, this session offers practical tools and creative approaches you can apply to gardens, farms, community spaces, or home landscapes.
