From the Malakoff Estate, matured for 12 months in used French barriques. Well, well, it's like jumping into the surf thinking it's going to be very cold, only to find it's perfect. Coming to the end of the day's tasting, nebbiolo tannins can fill the mouth with fast-drying cement. This is a high quality wine by any standards, complete with violets on the bouquet, sumptuous dark fruits and millimetre perfect tannins.

Three years.

That’s how long we’ve been waiting to make Viognier again.

Vintage 2024 — heatwave.
Vintage 2025 — didn’t ripen.
Vintage 2026 — looking promising…

We only make Viognier when the fruit reaches the standard Adam knows it can achieve. No compromises. No “good enough”.

A couple more weeks of cool-climate weather is all we need to bring these grapes home and craft our first Viognier in three years.

Open That Bottle Night is this Saturday, 28 February 2026. 🍷

A gentle reminder to pull a special bottle from the cellar, think about what you’ll cook, and who you’ll share it with.

Started in 2000 by two New York Times wine writers, the night was created to encourage us to finally open that bottle we’ve been saving.

We’ll be opening our 2017 Monseigneur Cabernet and enjoying it with grilled steak. 🍷🥩

Life’s too short to wait for the “perfect” occasion.
