Stephen was super thrilled to compete @ the 50th anniversary of the 50th Anniversary Armidale Campdraft 2026 carnival run over the weekend, having competed (as a junior) in the very 1st Armidale Campdraft Carnival held back in 1976.
As Stephens parents were part of the original founding committee members, competing at the carnivals 50th anniversary was a significantly memorable occasion 💖
A special mention goes out to Gavin Strelitz & Tracy Simpson who also competed over the weekend, who, although may not have competed at the very first carnival, they & their families were certainly major contributors & competitors to the club in its very early years & it was great to see them still competing & supporting the carnival, congratulations 👏
Stephen was super proud to compete successfully in the Open draft on our stallion Hell Reysn Spin, a quarter horse stallion by EBS Phalaris out of Givem Hell, who is a multiple award winning champion in Ranch Horse events, Super Cowhorse competitions, reining & Working Cowhorse events, who showed his diversity & style in the Campdraft arena after quite a few years break from Campdraft competition👏💕
Congratulations & thank you to the hard working committees, present & past, volunteers, the amazing sponsors, some of whom have been major supporters of the carnival, almost from its inception, this generosity & support is simply astonishingly 🙏 , to the generous cattle donors & of course let’s not forget to mention the fantastic competitors who continue to support these wonderful events.
