🌱 T1 done. Five years in the making.

In 2021 we registered Gara Gunyah and Karuah in a carbon project and committed to managing this country differently — biological inputs, cell grazing, diverse pastures, deep-rooted perennials.

Then the dry came.

Like so many across New England, we faced one of the harder stretches we’ve seen. We made the call to destock — took the pressure off the country and let it rest rather than push it through. Not easy decisions, but the right ones.

The rain has come back. The country has responded. And last week the T1 testing team arrived — soil cores pulled from over 60 independently generated sites across both properties, giving an unbiased read of where the carbon is at.

We don’t know the results yet. But we know the land is in better shape than when we started. The earthworms are back. The pastures are deeper. The soil holds water differently now.

Five years of hard work, one tough season, and a lot of faith in the process. Watch this space. 🌿

Locals to Armidale - The Meating Place Armidale has some of our delicious Wagyu!

This Wagyu is coming out of Gara River, just 15kms down the road, run by Lach and Liz Rogers and their family.

They’ve built their herd on strong Wagyu bulls, which is where you get that quality and consistency coming through.

But more than that, it’s just good people doing things properly. Small team, family-run, focused on producing beef they’re proud of.

We’re pretty lucky to have access to it here in Armidale, because stuff like this doesn’t usually stay local for long.
