One of the biggest changes Scott has seen in the butcher trade?
The Sunday roast. 🥩
When Scott first started out, he could sell 100+ roasts every weekend.
These days, he’s lucky to sell 10–15 a week.
So what changed?
The way we live?
These days, weekends are taken up by kids sport or getting out and about, rather than resting and coming together.
The butcher trade has also had to adapt to many families now juggling two working parents, busy kids, sport, school and everything else that comes with family life, there simply isn’t as much time to spend preparing and cooking meals from scratch during the week.
So the question became: how can we still give families a delicious, quality meal when they don't have hours to spend in the kitchen?
That’s where our Ready to Heat & Eat range comes in.
Think Beef Wellingtons, pies, lasagnes and savoury pastries prepared and cooked for you.
Just heat, add a side and dinner is sorted.
Because being a butcher today isn't just about selling meat. It’s about understanding what families need and helping solve the dinner-time problem.
