We aren't going anywhere!

Bayswater Bowling Club have put some serious work in this year to accommodate for an even bigger and better Beer & Bowls '25 than ever before!

Brewcha Libre Brewing Co have been building a whole brewery just to make sure theres some new and exciting brews

And its all coming together for an early 2027! Suns out funs out!

Almost there! –

The inside is looking like its all finally ready to go! Brewhouse has power and is working how it should! A quick trip to bunnings to fit out the wall with tables and cupboards all sorted, the bottom is even on wheels so we can slide it out for canning days when were gonna need a heck more table space!
The councils paperworks been resubmitted and fingers and toes are crossed for the final tick of approval from them!

On the Juice –

This was one obstacle after another to achieve with the limited amount of power the building has but after a “reserch” session at another local breweries the crew came up with an idea and got it done! Its a very handsome on process with plugging and unplugging but thats all a part of the hand made process (it also makes it alot easier to not accidentally do things)

Big thanks to Leon and Aaron for all the electrical work and getting the brewery onto the good stuff!

Get with the program -

Next up was the brain of the brewery! Ive never done any programming before so why not give it a go right? Good lord what a job that is! The brewery is now controlled by a Raspberry pi which is controlling all the elements, pumps, and taking temperature readings with room to grow into controlling fermentation devices later on also (if im silly enough to want to do more programming) big thanks to Simon from for the late night/early morning chats helping me try to understand wjat im doing!

Dont scratch the wall! -

Bit of fun fitting out the room a little and making it look more like a brewery! Oscar our biggest assistant was keen to put his construction skills to work and help build some cabinets and the sink, also tackled getting the extractor fans set up. Thats certainly not a job thats fun to do by your self but I got it up there with allot of curse words and a bunch of scratches on the wall but hey its there now and looking pretty!

The Great Wall -

Perths Smallest brewery brought to you by perths Smallest carpenter! 😄 a bit of a strange one and a long story but the short of it was we couldn't get our whole space approved which did make us have to change plans allot and enter the world of micro micro Brewing 😄 wont be long and you'll see us at events and if your up for a story we'll tell you the rest but for now look at this amazing wall brought to you by watching hours of American home restoration shows! Just chilling-

What’s a brewery without a cool room right? At one point we where silly enough to think wed be running a bunch of fridges to work with our weird little space we have and then this gem popped up on marketplace and was the EXACT size to the mm to fit in our odd little corner. So we hired a trailer helped pull it down and bring it back to home base. Designed to run with a motor on the side we had to change that to a top mounted system. The system itself well we pulled apart our fridge and modified it to fit on the roof and keep it cool, after a regas and some fresh parts its happily sitting on a nice chilly 4° without breaking a sweat.
Cold beer here we come!

Getting grubby -

Good lord the mess you make cutting floors! Not gonna lie you do feel realy cool holding a giant saw or a jack hammer in the moment 😄 the following morning is a different story, all those vibrations, crouching down and heavy lifting definitely lets you know youve used all your muscles!
Concrete cutting day > legs day!

Slap some paint on it -

Yep we could have probably waited with the wall paint with all the cutting of concrete and dust and filth that comes soon but you know what sometimes you just need to make things look nice to make you feel good right? 😄 big thanks to Troy for the painting tips! His guidance in rollers and brands made this a much nicer job to tick off (i cant stand painting walls)

The Strip Out -
We've been busy for a while with this project of ours and we want to share it with you.

The Goal for a while now was to have our own brewery and step away from the gypsy life and using equipment (as much as we have fun with them). Our plan was to do absolutely everything we possibly can ourselves and truly build our own brew space. The location? At home (bringing home Brewing to a whole new level 😄) this has had a tone of obstacles to get over but when there’s a will there’s a way and thanks to Alessandro at Apex Planning and whole bunch of late nights researching and the occasional chat with the City Of Belmont gave us the green light to build Perth’s Smallest (and Australia's second smallest ) Brewery!

So the first step was to strip out our space and prep our slightly over 20sqm of brewery space for the build!
