Paddock to Plate - we processed our first steer.

Purebred Speckle Park, processed at just 17 months old with a 222kg carcase — we couldn’t be happier with that result for a grass-fed animal that came through such a challenging year.

Literal blood sweat and tears went into getting these paddocks (and in turn the animals) thriving again. Maybe that’s what makes it taste so good!

Just a little bit wet these past few days prepping for Alfred.

All the cattle are now safe and sound on higher ground albeit with a few challenges along the way. Thankfully we got away with no injuries after the 3rd cow off the truck went through the loading ramp at the stock reserve 😬 Luckily we were able to grab a spare loading ramp from down the road and install to get the rest off.

Thanks to Michael for carting them out and Luke and Jade for there never ending assistance and hospitality!

Hoping everyone further north is ok and that Alfred turns out to be a let down!
