Foaling season comes with plenty of questions.

How do you know when a mare is ready? What happens through the night? And just how much goes into those first few hours with a new foal?

The answers come down to something we believe strongly at Silverdale: the 1% always counts. Experience, education and attention to the smallest details matter, particularly when you’re responsible for giving a young thoroughbred the best possible start.

Our stud manager Rob has the finer details. We just had to catch him long enough to get them.

It's been an exciting start to the season.

Each healthy arrival is the result of months of planning, teamwork and care. Watching our foals find their feet never gets old, and they all bring their own personality from the very beginning.
