Balala Station revealed as the site for the 2025 Australian Soil Judging Competition

Soil Science Australia is pleased to announce that the 2025 Australian Soil Judging Competition will be hosted at Balala Station near Uralla, NSW.

Balala Station is well recognised for its commitment to regenerative agriculture and soil stewardship. The property integrates rotational grazing, ecological restoration and long-term soil monitoring, offering competitors a rare opportunity to work directly with soils shaped by decades of evidence-based management.

We’re grateful to property managers Richard Daugherty and Sarah Burrows for hosting this year’s competition.
