At Balhannah we have all five sections, catering for various age ranges:
Joeys for kids 5 - 7 years and Cubs for kids 8 - 11 years typically meet on Mondays
Scouts for kids 10 ½ - 15 years meet on Thursdays 7.00 - 9.00. Venturers for 14 ½ - 18 year olds meet Friday nights 7.00 - 10.00
Rovers for 18-26 year olds typically meet on Sunday evenings. We run an exciting and diverse program so please make sure you get in touch to ensure you can join in with the activities we have planned that week.

WHISTLE WHILE YOU WORK

Our Balhannah Cub and Scout sections played host to Torrens Valley Scout Group for a night of Whittling with the Scouts SA Whittling team.

Youth are taught about knife safety, the anatomy of the knife, the structure of wood and the grain and safe knife holds.

FUTURE FIRE FIGHTERS

Our Joey and Cub sections (and their excited leaders) were very special guests of the Birdwood CFS where they learnt about fire safety, how to extinguish fires, how the fire trucks work… and how bright the lights are.

A very big thanks to the amazing volunteer firefighters for taking the time to educate and encourage out youth and for letting them be firefighters for a night.

MARSHMALLOW MADNESS

Balhannah Scout Group were all 🔥FIRED UP🔥 to be part of history at the sold-out Flameboree at Woodhouse Adventure Park, when Scouts SA officially broke the world record for the Most People Roasting Marshmallows Simultaneously, with an incredible 1,719 people taking part in the official record attempt.

What an unforgettable night for South Australia, for Scouts SA, and for everyone who helped make Flameboree what it was.

MINI MAKERS AT WORK

Our Joeys honed their skills in sewing, cooperation and concentration at this weeks felt pouch making.

A huge thanks to Penelope’s mum Crystal for helping our Joeys sew Balhannah coloured cutlery pouches! Great for keeping your cutlery clean and dry on camps.

It was so great to see the youth learning new things and working with their parents and friends to get the project done.
