I thought I was opening a shop. I didn’t realise how much more it would become.

1. How much you would genuinely care about every person who walks through the door.
They might just be coming in for a coffee, a pie or something for dinner, but over time you learn their names, their families, what they usually order… and you notice when you haven’t seen them for a while.

2. How personal everything becomes.
When someone tells you they loved something you made, it can make your whole day. And when things don’t go right, you take that home with you too.

3. That the best part wouldn’t actually be owning a business.
It would be becoming part of a community.
Seeing familiar faces walk through the door. Watching families grow. Having someone recommend you to their friend. Knowing they chose to support your little business when they could have gone anywhere.

If only I knew. ❤️

We had the pleasure of putting together some catering for local Kym.
