Assistant viticulturalist (AV) Larry widely referred to as Lazza, inspected the Chardonnay this morning. Apparently the overnight rain was a welcome relief with hopefully more on the way. AV Lazza will continue inspections after his morning sun soaked nap. More to come…

Love your fortifieds? Boxi has White Liqueur Muscat blending trials underway in the Barrelroom this week. These 160-year-old barrels are not just for show. We filled these barrels with muscat 50 years ago, and every year, we take some out as part of the blend, then top up with young material to bring fruit and freshness back to the blend. Our Chief W**emaker is excited to be working with ripe muscat grapes, finessing this blend toward sweet and lingering, hints of lychee and honey, a long and very pleasant finish.
