Red Apple Awareness Day is coming up next Wednesday 17th June and we want to spread the message around bowel cancer awareness right here in our region.

Did you know the red apple symbolises the bowel, and the small hole in the apple represents bowel cancer?

The message is simple… when detected early, bowel cancer can often be treated before it causes serious harm.

Grampians Health are hosting apple-themed events to get people talking, while dedicated Bowel Care Nurses continue supporting patients through every step of their journey.

If you’re over 45, don’t ignore your screening test. Early detection saves lives.
