This Thursday night, we’re welcoming the five-piece Victorian honky-tonk band to Ballarat as part of their All Over Again Australian Album Launch Tour.

Expect big vocals, plenty of twang and retro country, with their brand-new album recorded in Nashville and now hitting the road around Australia.

We’re so lucky to have artists like Rhiz & The Sugarplums stopping in Ballarat, and even luckier to have so much live music happening in our city. Keeping live music alive means getting out, supporting the artists and supporting the venues that keep bringing it to town.

And if you’re coming into Ballarat for Strummingbird this weekend, why not make the most of it? Get the country party started early with us at Kilderkin.

Meet Susie Beaut, one of our signature spring cocktails waiting for you at the Larrikin Bar.

Expect a tart sweetness, a hint of vanilla and the mot sensational colour you ever saw.

The Larrikin Bar is open from 11am to 6pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, and 11am to 7pm on Friday and Saturday.

If you’ve been into the distillery, there’s a good chance you’ve been lucky enough to have a cocktail made by Sterling.

Calling him a bartender doesn’t quite cover it. He’s a cocktail artist, a wealth of knowledge and one of those people you can happily sit at the bar and talk to for far longer than you planned.

He’s constantly creating, experimenting and dreaming up what’s next for our cocktail menu, with a genuine love for the craft behind every drink he makes.

And if you’re coming in on your own, don’t let that stop you. Pull up a seat at the bar. With Sterling behind it, you’ve already got a friend.

We’re incredibly lucky to have him as part of Kilderkin.

Three equal parts. Endless possibilities.

We’re halfway through Negroni Week, and we thought we’d take you a little further down the cocktail rabbit hole.

Gin, Campari and sweet vermouth. The classic Negroni trio that started it all. But swap just one ingredient and you open up a whole new world of cocktails.

Green Chartreuse? You’ve got yourself a Bijou. Swap in Aperol for something a little lighter and more citrus-forward, or trade the gin for wh***ey and you’re in Boulevardier territory.

And that’s just scratching the surface.

It’s one of the things we love most about cocktails. A little curiosity, a few good ingredients and suddenly you’re drinking something entirely different.

The Negroni. You either love them or hate them, kind of like the Vegemite of the cocktail world.

If you love Negronis, come visit us at the distillery door to celebrate Negroni week. Order flight of them, then get a full sized version of your choice for half price.

If you don't like Negronis, you should pop in anyway - we have plenty of delicious cocktails and mocktails for you to try, including those from our new Spring menu.

Negroni Week starts tomorrow, and we’ve got a few tricks up our sleeves.

Classic, local, native, white, coffee and even a little cherry, chocolate and coconut. Turns out there’s more than one way to enjoy a Negroni, and we’ve been having a bit of fun exploring them all.

Whether you’re a longtime Negroni lover or still getting acquainted with the bitter side of life, we’ve got something worth trying.

And yes, we’ve got a Negroni flight for those who can’t quite make up their minds. We understand. Choosing just one is hard work.
