𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐝. You’ve heard that word a lot from us lately.

But honestly, we just can’t think of a better word.

Not only were we incredibly proud of our cattle and our children at the 2026 Texas Longhorns Australia National Show, but we were also so very proud to see cattle we have bred and sold out there performing for their new owners.

There were 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐍 𝐁𝐚𝐫-𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐝 cattle at the Show, all owned and exhibited by other studs — and what they achieved was something pretty special.

🏆 𝐍 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐥 — owned by Lazy H Longhorns
Angel won her halter class, was awarded Senior Champion Female, and then went on to beat our own Calf and Junior Champion Females to be named Grand Champion Female of the 2026 National Show!

And she wasn’t finished there.

In the 2026 Futurity, Angel once again won her class, took out the 2 Years Champion Female, and was named the Overall Highest Scored Futurity Exhibit.

What an achievement for her owners — and what a thrill for us as her breeders!

🏆 𝐍 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐢 — owned by Lazy H Longhorns
Stormi was placed 2nd in the halter show behind our own exhibit, but certainly had her moment in the Futurity, being named Overall Champion 3 Years Female.

🏆 𝐍 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 — owned by Harry C
Tango won the Senior Steer class — and there were some seriously big boys in there!

He then went on to win Champion Senior Steer before being named Grand Champion Steer of the 2026 National Show, beating our own Junior Champion.

🏆 𝐍 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐱 — owned by Lazy H Longhorns
Red Tux also won his class and ultimately took out Reserve Champion Senior Steer, beaten only by the older and bigger N Bar Tango.

🏆 𝐍 𝐁𝐚𝐫 𝐓𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫 — owned by Lazy H Longhorns
Thumper won the 15 to Under 21 Month Bull class and just missed out on a sash himself after coming up against our own Champion Bull, N Bar Eye’ve Spoken.

For us, breeding cattle is about more than what happens here at N Bar.There is something pretty special about seeing cattle we have bred go on to new homes, develop, compete and succeed in the hands of other breeders.

But they don’t have to win a ribbon to make us proud.

If an N Bar-bred animal goes to a new home and brings a smile to its new owner’s face, then we reckon our job has been done right. ❤️

On Saturday we attended the 13th Texas Longhorns Australia National Show. This was our 7th National Show & with 50 head nominated, the biggest Longhorn-only halter show in Australia’s history.

We were so proud of the cattle we exhibited, but equally as proud of the cattle we have bred and sold who were exhibited by their new families.

A huge thank you must go to our own children. The hard work put into preparing the cattle has paid off, but it’s also the many hours of behind-the-scenes work — setting up, packing up, and stepping up whenever and wherever needed — that often goes unnoticed. We couldn’t do it without you.

We also can’t overlook the contribution of our friends and family on the day. There really aren’t enough words to say how much we appreciate every bit of help, encouragement and support. We are truly blessed to have such a great group of people around us!

Thank you to Texas Longhorns Australia and the hard-working committee for putting together another fantastic National Show. Thank you to all of the sponsors — without your support, there is no show.

A huge congratulations to all the other exhibitors! The quality of cattle in the ring made for a seriously competitive day, while the encouragement and support between exhibitors is what makes this event so special.

The 13th Texas Longhorns Australia National Halter Show kicked off with our Junior Judging Competition, giving our future leaders and judges the opportunity to put their skills to the test.

Competitors under 21 years of age are assessed on their ability to place and compare animals, accuracy of observation, communication and speaking skills, and their overall presentation.

Since being introduced to the National Show schedule in 2021, Junior Judging has continued to grow in popularity — and in 2026, we welcomed an outstanding 18 competitors.

We were particularly thrilled to see the youngest competitor on the day take out the win! What a fantastic achievement. 👏

Congratulations to all 18 juniors who stepped forward and gave it their best. It takes confidence and courage to stand in front of a crowd and explain your decisions, and every one of you should be proud of your effort. You are the future of our breed, and we love seeing you develop your skills and confidence each year.

Watching N-Bar Angel, owned by Lazy H Longhorns, take out 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞, and N-Bar Tango, owned by Harry C., be awarded 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 was a very special moment for us.

This video shows the Under 9 Month Heifer class, with three beautiful N-Bar bred heifers (on the left), followed by the Grand Champion Female lineup — all three bred right here at N-Bar. Then the Senior Champion Steer class, with two N-Bar bred steers battling it out for the Champion ribbon.

We put a lot of love, time and pride into the cattle we breed, so seeing them go on to succeed for other families means more than we can say. Thank you to everyone who puts their trust into our breeding program!
