One of our repeat clients, 9 years running with Tarramba bulls — sent through some videos this week that tell the story better than we could.

600 Brahman steers, born on basalt country north of Hughenden, sent on agistment to the Downs as yearlings, now going into CQ feedlots at 420kg average.

The sires behind these steers have been intensely selected each year against a number of traits, with the Live Export Index carrying the most weight. LEI puts significant emphasis on fertility, which flows through to more kg/ha for the buyer to sell.

What a great tool for northern producers — lifting fertility while still turning off well-grown Brahman steers into the CQ feedlots.

Our clients' cattle are some of the best to handle, and we've purchased hundreds of them back ourselves to background in CQ and send on to feedlots. More calves, more kg — without giving up growth or finishing ability.

Thank you to our buyers and bidders at the 4th Frontier Genetics Annual Bull Sale.

We were thrilled to welcome new clients alongside our repeat clients, achieving a sale average of $8,909, topped by $19,000 for Lot 122 Tarramba FG Ironbark 5445 (PS), selling to Gipsy Plains Brahmans. They also took home Lot 120 Tarramba FG Instinct 5398 (PP) for $12,000.

A big thank you as well for all the private sales and inspections at Tarramba this week.
