🎉 Congratulations to Caleb Stephenson, who has been elected as the Golden Plains Youth Council Mayor for 2026-27!

We’re excited to see Caleb step into this leadership role and represent the ideas, voices and aspirations of young people across Golden Plains over the coming year.

Golden Plains Youth Council is a youth-led advisory group supported by Golden Plains Shire and the Victorian Government's Engage! program. It provides young people with opportunities to have their say, contribute to local decision-making, and help shape the future of their community.

Outgoing Youth Mayor Declan Davidson will support Caleb as Golden Plains Deputy Youth Mayor. We wish Caleb and Declan all the best for the year ahead and look forward to seeing the positive impact, fresh ideas and leadership they bring to their roles.

🎤⭐ Calling all young performers!

Golden Plains Shire Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from talented musicians, singers and performers aged 12-25 to take part in the Fright Night Open Mic this Halloween 🦇👻

Showcase your talent, connect with your community, and perform in a fun, supportive, youth-led event. Plus, two performing acts will be selected by the FUSE committee, to receive exclusive mentoring and rehearsal support from professional performers Andy Pobjoy and Shandelle Cooke from Piano Bar ahead of the big night.

Heads up, Bannockburn crew! 📣

The Youth Hub will be closed on Tuesday 18 August while we’re busy training.

We’ll be back on Wednesday and Thursday, then again from Tuesday 25 August onwards, every Tuesday from 3.30pm to 6pm.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to run tonight's Youth Drop-In Program.

We are sorry for any inconvenience. Normal programming will be back on next Mon 27 July 2026 and the following Monday's from 4:00PM to 6:00 PM. We're excited to see you there! 😊

Unfortunately, we have had to cancel our Paint and Create art session in Linton as we did not meet the minimum registration requirements for the event to go on. All ticket holders have been notified.
