Drakensberger Australia In 2004 we imported the first Drakensberger embryos from South Africa. Today we run Drakensberger herds on properties near Armidale, NSW, and Queensland.

• Their ease of calving, maternal instinct and milk production is unmatched by any other beef breed.
• They are well adapted to the harsh cold climates where they originated, but also to the extreme heat, since their short shiny black coat reflects the sun and makes them tick-resistant.

ave a well structured eyebrow that protects the eye from fly attacks, seed infections and cancer.
• They have long tails with which they are able to chase away flies as far as their shoulder.
• They are known as a very mobile breed, walking long distances to find grazing and water.
• Research done by the CRC at the University of New England on African cattle breeds; concluded that, the Drakensberger is a hardy breed with good meat quality.
