Raelands Farm Our family has been dairy farming on Raelands Farm for over 150 years. We are a small farm and use as many sustainable farming practices as possible.

5th generation family dairy farm in NSW (Australia) sharing what really happens behind the scenes - sustainable grazing, milking, solar power, and daily decisions that keep a farm running. Including;
- Lean farming
- Planned pasture management (FPFP)
- Extensive revegetation of native flora
- Biodiversity stewardship site (in progress)
- Regular soil health assessments
- Genetic selection to increase animal health & productivity
We also enjoy our increasingly self sufficient lifestyle and growing our own food, as well as producing it for you :)

New tractor day 🚜 😀. After 70+ years of having at least one red tractor (MF) on the farm I’m hoping we’ve made the right choice!
Couple of reasons for the change:
- Most affordable planetary hub reduction axle 100HP tractor (compared with Bevel Gear reduction) we could find with ease of servicing
- Compact but fairly heavy (wheel weights + wider wheel setup for the hills)
- Good finance and lower outlay than comparative options
- Simpler - less electronics
- MF have pulled out of some smaller, local dealers making servicing challenging and costly
AND a bonus of the tractor not being camo in the paddock anymore to our red/green colourblind son 😀

Fantastic morning of tree planting with Gloucester NSW Environment Group - GEG Aus Eco Solutions midcoastcouncil providing trees, guards, hole boring & labour!
This is a continuation of our plan to have all creeks and waterways planted/fenced on the farm 🌳 🐄 🚜
Farming doesn’t have to be focused on production OR the environment, it can be focused on both.
