If decaf’s a dirty word for you, listen up. It’s time to give the ugly stepsister of the coffee world a second chance.

We know decaf has a bad rap. It’s long been marred by a history of nasty chemicals, cheap beans, poor roasting and a rotten taste.

But when decaf is done right, it’s a dream. It’s flavoursome, robust, 99 percent caffeine-free, and can be enjoyed by serious coffee drinkers at any hour of the day.

In fact, we so believe in this sleeping beauty of the coffee world we’ve created a brand new variety of it. Called Mexican Decaf, we’re quietly confident it’s going to knock the socks off even the most fervent caffeine devotee - and win over those still traumatised by a bad decaf experience from the past.

HOW WE’VE DONE DECAF RIGHT:

By using the finest grade beans. We use gold standard, single origin Arabica beans from Chiapas, Oaxaca and Veracruz in Mexico, grown at an altitude of more than 700 MASL.

By roasting carefully using a 100 percent chemical-free process. We use the industry-leading Mountain Water Decaffeination Process. During this process, green beans are soaked in pure water from mountain glaciers before being steamed then immersed in water already saturated with coffee flavour elements from a previous batch. As osmosis occurs, the caffeine leaves the beans and is removed by natural carbon filters, retaining the essential coffee flavour elements in the beans.
