It's the Bathurst Lions Farmer's Market tomorrow and the weather is perfect for pumpkin soup and apple crumble, made from local apples and pumpkins. You can find them on our stall as well as our famous range of preserves. Rug up warm and we'll see you tomorrow.

The Chief of Indoor Operations and I are currently on a research trip in Sweden and the UK. We've been searching for the best strawberries. It's a tough gig but someone has to do it
Unfortunately we won't get back in time for this month's market.

The last of our summer tomatoes , green tomatoes for mum's Green tomato pickles. This is what started us in the preserving business. The recipe was passed on by my mum to me and my sister Fiona and we have been making it for years. The red ones will be ripened on the window sill for tomato relish.

We're back at the Bathurst Lions Farmer's Market tomorrow and so are Ollie's Oaklings along with our award winning jammerie & pickelrie. Grown from Illa Langa Farm acorns, harvested by hand each Easter and nurtured by Ollie they are only $20 each. For that price you could plant your own grove.

Grown with passion by our apprentice Oaklinger under instruction from the Chief of Outdoor Operations. $20 each, or 3 for $60. 😉 All sales going to Ollie's long term 'house deposit' account.
