🧀 New Oaky Creek Road Offerings Have Arrived! 🫙

The Drunken Farmhand shelves have welcomed a delicious new collection of small-batch, handmade goodies from Oaky Creek Road Providores and your next platter just became considerably more exciting!

We requested, Colleen Delivered! We now have four magnificent fruit pastes ready to meet their perfect cheese:

🍷 Fig & Port Paste
🌺 Rosella, Lemon & Cinnamon Paste
🍑 Plum & Shiraz Paste
🍎 Apple, Pear & Ginger Paste

And then we have two of my absolute favourites:
Mustard Pickles and Orange & Whisky Marmalade.

The Mustard Pickles bring that beautiful tangy bite every proper platter needs, while the Orange & Whisky Marmalade adds a rich, citrusy sweetness that is dangerously good with cheese and smallgoods.

🔪 WE’VE UPGRADED. 🔪

Today at The Drunken Farmhand, we officially went from sad knife… to MAD KNIFE. 😂

We’ve upgraded our cooking kits with some beautiful new knives from Chef Supply Co.

Ready to join us for our private pickling workshops in your own home.

We’re looking forward to breaking these bad boys in!

We’re holding a series of short tasting and pairing sessions at The Drunken Farmhand, with a variety of delicious foods available to sample.

We’ll chat about flavour combinations, why certain foods work so well together and how you can create your own pairings at home.

Last night we swapped pickles for drams and had the pleasure of attending the Beaudesert Rotary Whisky Tasting & Pairing at Station Master House. 🥃

Safe to say... no one left hungry, and the whiskies definitely made some new friends! Each pour was paired with some absolutely fantastic food, making for a brilliant evening of good company, great conversation, and even better flavours.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in putting it together. It's events like these that remind us how lucky we are to be part of such a wonderful community.

Now... if someone could organise a pickle and whisky pairing night, we'd happily volunteer as taste testers. 😉🥒🥃

⚔️ A little update from The Drunken Farmhand! ⚔️

Some of you may know that I’m also the President of the upcoming Southern Realm Festival, an action-packed weekend of jousting, combat, living history, entertainment, markets and more!

We’re incredibly grateful to our customers who have purchased tickets and supported this event. We hope to continue bringing Southern Realm Festival to the Scenic Rim for many years to come.

To allow us to prepare for and run the festival, The Drunken Farmhand will be closed from Wednesday, 19 August, reopening Thursday, 27 August.

Our final ticket release begins this Saturday, with prices increasing slightly. Tickets will also be available at the gate, but at a higher rate, so booking ahead is recommended!

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the closure and, as always, truly appreciate the support of our wonderful customers.
