SILVER LININGS 🌈 THE AUTUMN INSTALMENT OF THE INNER SANCTUMN NEWSLETTER HAS HIT YOUR INBOX.

Aptly titled 'Silver Linings' after the turbulent, rollecoaster of a season it has been. There was frosts in November, empty dams in December and extreme heat in January, it’s been memorable to say the least!

But just like the season, the newsletter is jam packed, but full of goodies and Silver Linings. There’s an invite to our Silver Linings Aged Wine Sale on July 11, a succulent Slow Cooked Lamb Gnocchi Recipe by the lovely folk at .rutherglen, the welcomed return of our FX, a fun inclusion of an Eldorado crossword bringing back the fun and joy, and to test how closely you really read it 😉 You'll also find the usual imagery from the last little while that we always include, including some of Paul & Lauries holiday snaps from Bordeaux last year.

If you haven’t seen the digital version be sure to check you junk / spam folder and fish it out. It’s worth the read, and physical copies will be in the post early next week.
So pop on some Chet Baker, grab a glass of wine and settle in for a read.
"A heart full of joy and gladness will always banish sadness and strife so always look for the silver lining and try to find the sunny side of life. “ - CHET BAKER LOOK FOR THE SILVER LINING 1954 🍷 🌈 🍷

Tickets to the Silver Linings Aged Wine Sale and full newsletter can be found in out bio.

BEECHWORTH SYRAH FROM THE BATTELY VINEYARD 🍇

The 2022 Beechworth Syrah marks our fourth release from the Battely Vineyard since we took over management in 2017. Over this time, we have learnt a lot about this site, the clones that it is planted to and how best to manage vines in the vineyard and the fruit in the winery. After extremely low yields in 2021 they bounced back in 2022 with an average yield of very good quality, as with most of the wines from 2022 its alive with vibrancy built on a pure natural acidity, a result of the mild weather in a year when we recorded less than 10 days above 35c.

The Battely Vineyard is unique because it comprises four different Shiraz clones; PT23, PT10, ESA3012 & the Bests clone.

A great, softer style Shiraz made in the Syrah style. Full of pepper, spice, tension and vitality. A firm favourite among many. 🍷🍷

DREAMFIELDS FIANO + SALLY’S FAMOUS THAI RED DUCK CURRY FROM THE

Our dreamfields fiano is a constant favourite amongst you all and the wine critics alike. This year listed the 2024 vintage in the TOP 20 WHITES & OTHER BLENDS IN AUSTRALIA! and got a whopping 96 from

So what better way to celebrate this variety than pairing it with another local favourite?! Sally’s famous Thai Red Duck Curry at the Stanley Pub, so popular “we just can’t take off the menu!” she says. A perfect match really, fresh Asian flavours balanced with the zesty cut of our Dreamfields Fiano.

And if duck’s not your thing Sally’s also given an array of alternatives you can make it with, but worth the read just for the cooking tips, like how to cook your coconut milk till it splits and her go to brands.
For easier reading you can access the full newsletter in our link our bio which includes both the recipe (which you can even print) and the Fiano reviews, alongside some other stellar reviews we’ve recently recieved.

Or follow along with the recipe below.

HARVEST - photos by Suri // picker, pruner, bottler, flower supplier neighbour and friend.

The Chardonnay is all in with Suri taking some time out from harvest to have a photo with the Sally the Scarecrow and capture the magic with some shots early each morning. Battely the home of Wallflower and Beechworth Syrah is also all picked and bubbling away. We’ve just got the fruit at Eldorado left, which has relished in the recent rain we finally received.

Long days and nights, fuelled by caffeine and the odd beer we march on excited by freshly fermented juices and wonder how it’s all going to pan out.
Each vintage never stops bringing joy witnessing all the hard work morph into such a unique beverage that speaks of place and season. Only wine captures this magic.
