🥕🫛Support local’ is an easy hashtag to through out there at when putting together a SM aimed at showing your best self.🫛🥕
But local food systems, local economies, and local communities only thrive when we show a genuine commitment to supporting the producers and suppliers in our local community.
Truly supporting local, is a week in, week out commitment, that often requires patience, flexibility and innovation.🌱🍃🥦
We’re super grateful to work in a community with a whole bunch of people, and businesses who are fully committed to supporting local.
🍽️The Red Cafe not only use our produce in their kitchen, but have been hosting us for a fortnightly ‘pop-up’ plant sale over the last few months while we’ve been stuck without a Nursery site.🌱
🥕Candelo Wholefoods, and Candelo General Store are two of our Day 1s who have been putting g our veg up on their shelf for almost three years now.
🪴Stanford’s Kalaru, Cobargo Coop and Bridge-house Nursery have been stocking our local seedlings.
Bega Valley Organics add our veggies to their boxes that get delivered all around the valley, Saphire Fruit and Veg in Pambula and Saphire Farmers Markets stock our produce, and Evolve Cafe and Mimosa Wines use our veg in their kitchens.
🍄🟫And of course …. Our loyal Tuesdays afternoon farm gate customers, and our harvest members epitomise what it is to support local.
We love working in this community, and we love working with so many amazing community partners to make the Bega Valley a thriving place.🐝
