Our recycled, biodegradable pots, are the perfect solution for a happy garden and a healthy planet.🌏

ALSO on Thursday… we’ll be popping up again out the back of the Red cafe and catering with seedlings, and a few perennial herbs and shrubs, so if ur around town, we’d love to see you there!!☕️

🪱COMPOST FOR THE FUTURE🪱

We are incredibly exited to share that the Foundation for Regional Renewal and Recovery and the Future Drought Fund are supporting Grow the Future to deliver our ‘Compost for the Future’ project over the next 12 months, through they’re Community Programs Grant program! 🎉🎊🎉

Through this project, our young people will design and implement an advanced composting and worm farming system to allow us to process all organic waste that’s generated on the farm, plus organic waste partner organisations, and turn this into a valuable resource that will regenerate our soils.

🌲The program will use this development to engage, educate and empower 12–24-year-olds from throughout the Bega Valley around the benefits of using composting as a climate change solution.

Young people will be included in every stage of this project. They will help to design the composting system, will implement it, attend a compost workshop, develop signage around the area to help educate people, and participate in farm tours that highlight the benefits of compost as a climate-change solution.

🐝🐝The project will kick off in July, with our COMPOST AND WORM FARMING workshop that will be run by Alex King on Tuesday July 14. This workshop is open to all young people, and you can register for it via our link in comments!

🌱🌱🌱Seeds can only grow into thriving plants, if they’re nurtured at a young age. And that’s exactly what our partners at Essential Energy are doing to support the Grow the Future Nursary in its development phase.🌱🌱🌱

Through their Local Environment Partnership Program, Essential Energy have funded $10,000 worth propagation equipment and infrastructure, mentoring and business development to help get the propagation side of our nursary off the ground!🎉🥳🙌

Our vision is to create a Nursery that is run by Grow the Future, that provides a vibrant and welcoming space in which our community can connect and work towards a circular future, while providing employment opportunities and pathways for young people in our community.🥾🌲

We’re so grateful to have the support of Essential Energy our journey to achieve this vision!🐝
