This morning our new silent partner Albo rocked up to try and see if he can handle his new business venture. Turns out the cows didn’t appreciate his work ethic. 💩 Can’t say we were surprised!

He said he won’t be back but is still happy to take his cut. 💰

Holy smokes we did it!!

Of the five new dairy farms to start up in Queensland over the past 12 months, DFMC is proud to have contracted three of them. Jade Wenham from Bell (at the foothills of the Bunya Mountains) on the northern Darling Downs is the latest.

After time out of the industry, the Wenhams have taken on a share farmer and made the move back into dairy, rebuilding with a mighty herd of Illawarras and adapting existing beef infrastructure on-farm to benefit the new dairy business.

Tomorrow marks their first pickup, which is always a big milestone.

There’s strong demand for fresh milk at the farmgate across Queensland. That’s being driven in part by consumers embracing products like protein smoothies, along with a broader appreciation of dairy’s nutritional benefits in the supermarket.

Congratulations Jade, we look forward to seeing how things grow and develop from here.
