We’ve had an extra little helper out on the farm the past few weeks at Rainbow Valley Beef 🤠🐮

Supervising the welding quickly became his specialty… especially when he’d yell “UNCLE! THERE’S A FIRE AGAIN! YOU BETTER PUT IT OUT!” every time the welder sparked up 😂🔥

Safe to say the jobs might’ve taken a little longer, but they were definitely a lot more entertaining. Nothing better than little boots following you around the farm. ❤️

Meet Skye 🐾

11 years young and still running the show here at Rainbow Valley Beef.

From chasing shadows to supervising absolutely everything (usually from a box she’s claimed as her own), Skye has been part of the family through it all. Through the busy seasons, the tough times, and the good ones too, she’s always been there, right in the middle of it like she owns the joint… which let’s be honest, she probably does.

She also makes sure the dogs Sambo and Lucile know their place. Someone’s got to keep them in line around here 😏

Still going strong, still full of attitude, and still picking the comfiest spot in the house (or the most random box she can find).

Wouldn’t have it any other way ❤️

Well that Easter long weekend went way too quick… 🐣😅

Back to reality now and straight back into fencing we go 🔨🐄
Plenty of repairs and a few new sections to knock over while the weather’s playing nice.

The dogs reckon the holiday should’ve lasted longer… but they’re still happy enough cruising the paddocks and “supervising” 🐶😂

Hope everyone had a great Easter break – now it’s time to get stuck back into it 💪

🌧️ A few good falls of rain make all the difference! 🌱

After some welcome rain last Sunday and Monday, and again yesterday, the country around Rainbow Valley Beef is looking fresh and alive. It doesn’t take long for the paddocks to respond and for the creeks to start running again.

Of course, Sambo and Lucile are absolutely loving it. Every afternoon they’ve been heading down to the creek for a splash around, making the most of the running water and cooling off after a big day on the farm. 🐕💦

There’s nothing better than seeing water back in the creeks and a bit of green starting to show again.

Let’s hope there’s a bit more on the way! 🌧️🌾

🌧️ Isn’t this rain in our region just wonderful! 🌧️

So far we’ve recorded 86mm here at Rainbow Valley Beef, and it’s still coming down. You won’t hear us complaining — this is the sort of rain our country has been waiting for. 🌱🐄

Even with the wet weather, we spent most of today out in it moving weaners back to our Toowoomba farm. A bit of rain never stopped cattle work, and the paddocks will certainly thank us for it.

A friendly reminder to everyone travelling around the region: if it’s flooded, forget it. There are a number of roads already affected with the current rain, so please take care and don’t take unnecessary risks.

For now we’ll be sitting back, listening to it fall on the roof and hoping it keeps on raining. 🌧️

Tonight was one for the books! 🎶🔥

Lainey Wilson absolutely lit up the stage and proved exactly why she’s one of the biggest names in country music right now. From the first song to the final encore, the energy was next level 🙌

The crowd was loud, the boots were stomping, and those signature bell bottoms were in full swing 💃🤠 Every song had everyone singing along like we were one big country family.

It’s not every day you get a show like that — powerhouse vocals, real grit, and that down-to-earth country charm that makes you feel right at home (even if you’re miles from the paddock 😉).

Safe to say there’ll be a few tired ringers at Rainbow Valley Beef tomorrow morning… but it was worth every minute! 🐂🌾
