Edible flower trial in progress.

Viola Pansy Flamenco Terracotta. Seeds from Veggie & Flower Garden Seeds.

Inspired by threebrothersblooms, this is my first attempt at growing violas from seed.

The seeds are tiny; they need darkness to germinate. I sowed them in March. That’s four months to this point.

This is a very good example of why planning, patience, and care are essential in gardening.

The plants are small, which means they are perfect for growing in pots on a balcony. So, everyone can grow them.

Imagine how beautiful these little flowers will look on my next batch of baking. Or in our granddaughter’s mud kitchen as her ‘garnish’ as she calls it.

Life’s simple pleasures.
