Image a little out of focus. But despite the challenges facing beekeeping; like Varroa and the viruses and bacteria that impact weak hives, I'm very pleased to have very strong and heavy hives coming out of winter. My goal this season is to suppress Varroa and build on the strength of my strongest hives.

Had a great day a St Kilians Easter Ethical Market today. Part of our Market store was a question table. Ask a question about beekeeping and go in the draw to win a kilo of River Red Gum Honey. It was fun answering questions for young and older people. I was surprised by people's awareness about the Varroa mite. A great way to engage with the community.
