Who was Sara Moraea? The namesake of our restaurant and working farm within the

A botanist’s daughter who became a famous botanist’s wife, Sara Moraea’s story has always been her own.

While her husband Carl Linnaeus spent his life naming the natural world, she spent hers growing it. She understood the land through her hands. Growing, harvesting and cultivating it long before her husband’s name became famous.

Ask us about the produce on your plate and where it came from. See how a working farm in Berry actually comes together, from the soil up.

With renovation commencing on the restaurant, now is probably a good time to show you the “before shots” before the reno spam starts flooding your feed.

Sara Dining is housed within the original garage and workshop here at Moraea Farm, which was built in the 1970s.

Our renovation will honour the building’s heritage and roots in Berry and transform it into something beautiful for all to enjoy.
