Alpaca fleece offers a natural palette all on its own.

During National Alpaca Fleece Month, we are celebrating the variety of natural colors found in alpaca fiber. Alpaca fleece comes in 16 officially recognized colors, including white, beige, and shades of fawn, brown, black, and grey, with many beautiful shades in between.

While alpaca fiber can be dyed, its natural range gives makers, fiber artists, and consumers more options before color is ever added. Choosing undyed alpaca products in their natural colors can also reduce the need for additional dyeing and processing.

From soft neutrals to rich earth tones, every shade tells part of the alpaca fleece story.
