Mountain Lagoon Orchard

MOUNTAIN LAGOON ORCHARD is a boutique fruit farm in the Bilpin area of The Blue Mountains.

It grows multiple fruit varieties, mostly apples and plums but also berries, persimmon, cherries, figs, quince and finger lime.

We would like to express our most sincere thanks to everyone who so generously gave up their time to fight the fire at our property on Friday night and over the weekend as it kept burning.

While our house was not able to be saved, they protected our packing shed, farm equipment, beautiful gardens, orchard and netting.

A huge thanks to Mountain Lagoon and Bilpin RFS and all the other services assisting, our wonderful neighbours and everyone who has passed on their kind words and offers of support.

While we are still in disbelief, we are fortunate to have a place in Kurrajong to live so we can continue to run the Orchard and rebuild.

Thanks to the fireies who retrieved some of Chris’s clothes, we don’t need anything except for the ongoing wonderful community spirit that all locals already provide to each other. We are so appreciative to live amongst such incredible people.

We finally have fruit! Will be at Bilpin markets on Saturday 10 December 10-12noon. Hoping to have some Christmas Bush too and maybe a few raspberries. It’s been a slow start to the season due to the constant wet weather. Unfortunately we didn’t get any cherries. Although late, the plums are delicious!
