What an amazing response we had this year. Thank you to everyone who cooked up a storm and submitted entries 💫

We look forward to announcing the winners at our Awards Presentation Ceremony on the 24th of October in the picturesque village of Birregurra.

A special thank you to all our judges and scribes who assisted with the judging over two very big, sweet days! Thank you to Brae for your support once again. We loved having Restaurant Manager Alex Casey and Chef Harry Connelly judge the Home Cook Alcohol section for the third year running. 🍊

If you've been cooking up a marmalade storm, the this is the friendly competition for you! Want to find out your strengths and areas for improvement? Then register today and get your jars into the post next week. All entries will receive feedback from our experienced cooking judges.

Judging will begin in Birregurra, VIC on the 5th of October, so express your parcel to get to us by the 2nd of October.

Meet your Judges and Committee members!

These folks have committed their time and enthusiasm to the awards for the past 3 years, this one being the 4th exciting competition!

Judging will once again take place in the quaint Christ Church Hall in Birregurra in October.

We are delighted to welcome back to judging the Alcohol section, Restaurant Manager Alex Casey from award winning and acclaimed restaurant 🙌

Experienced CWA Judge, Ann Marie Primmer will join the committee and fellow judges.

The secret to a beautiful competition marmalade is all in the preparation!

✨ Cook your peel thoroughly before adding the sugar. This helps create the lovely clear marmalade that judges love to see, with delicate ribbons of peel suspended in a shining jelly.

✨ Don't forget to test for the set. There's a fine line between perfectly set marmalade and citrus syrup, and once you've gone too far, there's no turning back!

A simple test: 🥄 Place a saucer in the freezer. 🍊 Drop a spoonful of marmalade onto the cold plate. 👉 Push it gently with your finger.

If it wrinkles, it's ready to pot!

Whether you're a seasoned preserve maker or trying your hand for the first time, now's the time to get cooking and create your award-winning citrus preserve.
