Cape Of Good Hope IRE - Stallion at Bombora Downs

Cape Of Good Hope IRE - Stallion at Bombora Downs CAPE OF GOOD HOPE
thoroughbred stallion at Bombora Downs,
by GALILEO (IRE) from HVEGER CAPE OF GOOD HOPE (IRE), the full brother to Highland Reel.

He is by GALILEO (IRE) out of the blue hen mare HVEGER. Cape Of Good Hope, is the winner of 3 races and over $1 million in stakes, with his first win coming as a 2yo over 1500m. He then went on to win at listed level as a spring 3yo over 2000m at Epsom, before embarking on a USA tour to run at Belmont and a 3rd at Saratoga over 1900m. His next start was in Australia in the Spring where, as a late

NH
3yo he was able to salute over 2000m against the older horses in the MRC Caulfield Stakes at Group 1 level. Highland Reel (IRE) has a first crop stakes winner with his larger books coming in the future. With Highland Reel out of the country, CAPE OF GOOD HOPE is an excellent alternative.

Standing his 3rd season at Bombora Downs is the well related and performed CAPE OF GOOD HOPE (Galileo (IRE) x Hveger (Danehill (USA))

Cape Of Good Hope is by breed shaping sire Galileo (IRE), the leading sire in Great Britain from 2010 through to 2020. He is out of the Australian bred blue hen mare Hveger, a sister to Group 1 winner and sire ELVSTROEM, half-sister to Group 1 winner and sire HARADASUN, and three-quarter-sister to Group placed, Altius.

He is the winner of 3 races and over $1 million in stakes, with his first win coming as a 2yo over 1500m and subsequent placings in the Newmarket Superlative Stakes (1400) Gr.2 and Newmarket Royal Lodge Stakes (1600) Gr.2. He was a globe trotter with stakes placings as a 3yo (NH) in France and the USA before taking out the MRC Caulfield Stakes (2000) Gr. against the older horses.

Cape Of Good Hope is a full brother to HIGHLAND REEL (IRE), winner of six Group 1’s. Highland Reel no longer shuttles to Australia. Cape Of Good Hope is an excellent alternative to access a hot pedigree at the very respectable service fee of $8,250 (incl. GST).
