Our wonderful Thursday volunteer - Rachel Fenwick is currently participating in the Special Olympic Games in Melbourne. She has won a Gold medal 🥇 and A Silver medal 🥈… We are very proud of her. I’m sure she’ll bring them in to show us again when she’s back in a few weeks.

We missed out on our first Michelin Star but we are still the absolute best value for money and we do have the best overall team of Volunteers. Well done to our “competitors”who achieved stars - amazing accomplishment for Adelaide. If you can’t afford $500 to go check them out feel free to still enjoy Cafe 72 value 😆😆😆

Unfortunately the Cafe will be closed on Wednesday this week. That’s the 14th October. We are still looking for volunteers for Friday. We are open tomorrow - Tuesday.

Do you have a few spare hours on a Friday to help us in the Cafe? They had very few helpers yesterday and it only causes stress for all involved -including Volunteers and Customers (and its very unpleasant when we start to get complaints as it’s too hard to keep on top of a very full cafe)… It’s getting harder and harder to find volunteers and we ultimately close when we can’t run the day. This should have happened yesterday but they ploughed on and it ultimately isn’t a pleasant day for anyone. So if you are thinking of possibly giving Leanne a hand on a Friday please come in and chat to her or Jody.
And a timely reminder that our VOLUNTEERS do their best with what we have available each day - please be patient especially when we are busy and overloaded. Thank you
