The Catalina is one of our two private guest houses at Main Street Retreat, located in the township of McLaren Flat, separate from The Vineyard Retreat in Blewitt Springs.

Happy International Fiano Day!

And who better to celebrate than our good friend, w**emaker Corrina Wright, the Queen of Fiano!

Corrina and the team at Oliver’s Taranga have been championing this wonderful Italian variety in McLaren Vale for years, and we’re delighted that our guests at The Vineyard Retreat can enjoy their Fiano while relaxing on their private decks overlooking the vines.

A little taste of The Vineyard Retreat, poured at home.

If you’ve stayed with us, you’ll know some of the best moments here are the simple ones. A drink on the deck, vines stretching out in front of you and nowhere you need to be.

This is Tiffany & Valtteri’s signature serve, made with their own Oath Gin.

1.⁠ ⁠Start with a generous pour of Fever-Tree tonic water over ice, followed by a measure of Oath Gin.
2.⁠ ⁠Add a few thin slices of fresh apple for a little sweetness
3.⁠ ⁠Finish with a cinnamon stick for a warm, aromatic touch.

Simple, fresh and very good at the end of a McLaren Vale day.

We’re sharing this one from Cadole Avalon, one of our private vineyard retreats, where an afternoon gin overlooking the vines is all part of the experience.

Spring has arrived in Blewitt Springs, and Marmont Vineyard is waking up.

Around The Vineyard Retreat, fresh green shoots are stretching along the rows, leaves are beginning to fill the vines and Vintage 2027 season is well underway.

It's one of our favourite times of year here. The days are getting longer, the vineyard is changing almost daily and everything feels a little more alive.

A beautiful time to stay among the vines and experience spring in McLaren Vale.
