Update at Wirrealpa Station 🌧️

We’ve been incredibly lucky to receive more beautiful rain at Wirrealpa Station, and the country is already turning green again.

Due to the extra rainfall our roads are closed, so Wirrealpa Station will remain closed until the roads reopen. Please see updates on the on the traffic SA road map you will find this on the DIT website.

We’ll keep everyone updated and look forward to welcoming visitors back once access improves.

🌿 Wirrealpa Station – Looking Green Again! 🌿

A bird’s-eye view over Wirrealpa Station and the country is slowly starting to turn green. It may only be short for now, but it’s already a beautiful change from the dust. After the recent rain, it’s wonderful to see the landscape beginning to come back to life. 🌱

The Flinders Ranges are truly something special after rain.

Please note: our roads are currently still shut and our creeks are not passable until the road crew are able to repair them. We will keep everyone updated once access is restored.

We are open from 1st March and welcome guests to experience the beauty of Wirrealpa Station — from wide open spaces to incredible outback views.

🌧️☔ Rain at Wirrealpa Station! ☔🌧️

What a weekend it has been! We received 100mm on Sunday, followed by beautiful misty rain all day Monday, bringing our total rainfall so far to 108mm — with more rain expected!

The paddocks are soaking it up, the dust has finally settled, and the whole place is already starting to feel fresh again. It’s a wonderful sight to see instead of dust, and there’s nothing quite like the smell of rain in the Flinders after dry weather 🌱💚

We are OPEN from the 1st of March and cannot wait to welcome our wonderful guests back to see the country looking its best!

⚠️ Please note: Due to heavy rainfalls in the coming week, our roads will be shut and some creeks have been damaged.
For everyone’s safety, please remember to check current road conditions and the status of roads before travelling. We will keep you updated as conditions change.
