Then and Now: In just a few short months our rescue chicken has recovered beautifully in our rehabilitation paddock. Surrounded by goat, chicken and ducks friends this hen has fully grown back all her beautiful feathers. It’s remarkable how in the right environment how well a chicken can recover.

Meet our spring flock locally soured from Sun Valley Produce Shop. Our older rescued ladies are now at an age where they don’t lay and will spend the rest of their days enjoying dirt baths in the sun and foraging on our homestead. At our homestead we don’t artificially promote egg laying which is why we haven’t had eggs lately. We hope to have these new ladies naturally laying when their ready in the next few months.
