📣 CATERING & CAKE INQUIRIES

Catering and cake inquiries have been coming in thick and fast over the past week! 🎂✨

Just a little reminder that quoting does take a fair bit of time, as I need to check pricing, availability and all the little details before getting back to you. So, I definitely haven’t ignored anyone! I’m working my way through them and trying to prioritise the ones that are coming up sooner.

And once you’ve received your quote, if you decide not to go ahead, that’s absolutely fine — just let us know! It makes it much easier for us to keep track of who is still deciding and who has decided not to proceed.

August is now pretty well booked out, and September… WOW. 😳 September is shaping up to be HUGE, with quite a few midweek events already booked in.

Righto, everyone... the calendar is officially up to date!

August is looking pretty hectic... but September? Even busier. And if I'm being honest, I reckon the rest of 2026 is going to be flat out!

If you've been thinking about booking us for catering, now's the time to lock it in. Once things really ramp up, our response times might be a little slower simply because we'll be out doing what we love.

If you've already sent through an enquiry and haven't heard back, please flick us another message. Sometimes messages end up in spam or get buried, and we'd hate to miss you.

We're incredibly excited about what's coming for the rest of the year. We've got some big changes on the horizon and a few exciting things in the works. Most of it will be café-related... but trust us, it's going to be worth the wait!

Watch this space. The second half of 2026 is shaping up to be an absolute ripper, and we can't wait to take you all along for the ride! 🤎

A little catering update from us! 🤍

Our socials (and the catering side of things) have been a little quieter than usual while I've been taking some time off to recover from surgery. Thank you so much for your patience and support during this time.

As we start gearing up for our busy season, we've got some exciting changes happening at On The Plains Grazing & Catering!

From 1st October, you'll start to notice a few updates, including:
• A new software system for bookings and invoicing.
• Emails and invoices may come from a different email address. If you're ever unsure, please don't hesitate to give us a call to confirm it's from us.
• We're also welcoming some new suppliers on board.
• Unfortunately, due to increasing costs, there will also be a small price increase from 1st October.

I've now responded to all current catering enquiries. If you're still waiting on a reply, please check your spam or junk folder first, as it may have landed there. If you still can't find it, send us a message and we'll happily resend it.

Just a friendly reminder that your booking is only secured once your deposit has been paid. Sending through an enquiry does not reserve your date. We've recently had a few people come back ready to book after waiting, only to find their date had already been secured by someone else who had paid their deposit first.

Whenever possible, I do my best to let people know if I'm receiving multiple enquiries for the same date, so you have the opportunity to lock it in before it's gone.

The remainder of the year is filling up quickly, so if you've got a wedding, birthday, corporate event, or special occasion coming up, get in touch as soon as you can and we'll do our best to make it happen.

We can't wait to get back into the busy season and create some amazing grazing tables and catering for you all. Thank you again for your ongoing support—it truly means the world to our little business. 🤍

Just a little update from us.

Nellie has been in for surgery and is now out the other side and recovering well. While she's got strict instructions to rest up, she's managed to catch up on all enquiries and messages. If you've sent something through and haven't heard back, please flick her an email and she'll get back to you as soon as she can.

We'll be taking a break from catering jobs throughout June while Nellie focuses on recovering, but we'll slowly ease our way back into things in July with some special cakes and treats.

We hope the first few days of winter are treating everyone well and that you're all keeping warm.

On a much more exciting note, next week is our birthday! We can't quite believe it, but we'll be celebrating three years in business. We're feeling pretty grateful for all of your support over the last three years, and there may just be a few birthday specials popping up next week, so keep an eye on the page.

Important Update: Clare Town Hall Centennial Gala Ball

We wanted to share an update with our community regarding the upcoming Centennial Gala Ball.

After careful consideration, the Clare Town Hall Committee have made the decision to postpone the event scheduled for Saturday, 18 April 2026.

While very much looking forward to celebrating this special milestone together, the Committee also recognises that many people are currently navigating increased pressures on household budgets, rising fuel costs and the general pace of life right now. We all want this event to be something everyone could truly enjoy, without added strain.

The goal is to reschedule the Gala Ball for a time when the community can come together with ease and fully embrace the celebration it deserves.

We appreciate your understanding and continued support, and we look forward to announcing a new date in the future.

If you have already purchased tickets, the Committee will be in touch shortly with options.
