Silver Cedar

Our 2022 poddy lamb Willow hasn't been herself this week and we were so grateful for Yass vets coming out on Saturday to check her over.
Diagnosis: Infection. She's not being shy about letting us fuss over her but she's not out of the woods yet... fingers crossed 🤞🐑🤒

Love not having to shut the quiet boys up away from the flock... 🐏🐑

I hope Jack, Oliver, McCartney and Boofhead like their new super sized aprons!

Shiny socks! Spring lambs are an absolute gift on a day like this. 🖤

What a weekend! A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Silver Cedar Farm stall at Boorowa Irish Woolfest whether you came for a chat about wool or to try your hand at spinning we loved every conversation. Meeting so many lovely people, hearing what you're making and sharing the story of our flock was the best part of the day Your support for small-batch, home-grown fibre means a great deal to us.
A big thanks also to the Black & Coloured Sheep Breeders Association of Australia (N.S.W.) Inc. and everyone who visited them and had a pat of one or two of our lambs 🐑🐑
We're already looking forward to next time!

Shearing's done! 🐑🐑🐑
Every fleece is off, the sheep are lighter and looking pleased and we've got a shed full of wool to get ready for sale.
A big thank you to Claudia and Louise for getting us across the line. We couldn't have done it without you, and we're really grateful for the time and hard work you put in 💪
Fleeces and fibre products will be up soon, so keep an eye out if you're after something small-batch from coloured sheep 🩶🖤🤎

Class of 2026
Lambs darting around, absolutely no idea what to do with themselves while the mums are off getting shorn. 🐑
Our coloured lambs doing their best impression of pure chaos. A few minutes without mum and it's mayhem.

'Twas the night before shearing, and all through the shed,
Not a fleece was in order, not one lock was shed.

Marking Round #2 🐑

This morning: 38 lambs absolutely losing their minds, running around like tiny over caffeinated maniacs. Some took it in their stride, others read the itinerary and did not consent.

By tonight its back to business as usual — bellies full and dignity mostly restored. No word yet from their legal team....
