We are home from the most incredible 9 days at the Perth Royal Show!

For as long as we can remember, it’s always been a highlight of our year and this year was truly one for the history books!

Cattle:
For the first time, we had a clean sweep in the Charolais division champions!

We haven’t campaigned a senior bull in a few years now and it sure paid off this year with Venturon Verified V81 being slapped Supreme Champion Charolais Exhibit as well as the Interbreed Senior Bull, a member of the Interbreed Champion Pair and the Interbreed Breeder’s Group of Three.

This is his second year claiming these results at Perth Royal and he’s pretty happy that his show career finishes on a bang!

Venturon Fiona T216 - Interbreed Senior Champion Female, member of Interbreed Champion Pair and Interbreed Breeder’s Group!

Venturon Starstruck 199W - Interbreed Champion Junior Female & Junior Champion Charolais Female! This is the first outing for 199W with our partners, Caloona Livestock, NSW, and we can’t wait for the future with her 👌

Venturon McQueen W118 - Junior Champion Charolais Bull & runner- up Interbreed Junior Bull!

Angus:
Supreme Angus exhibit for our 5th consecutive year! Venturon Rosebud Lass V20 who also finished second in the Interbreed Senior Female.

The calf at foot, Venturon Rosebud Lass X136, was sashed the Interbreed Heifer Calf of the show.

Venturon Winter W219 - Junior Champion Angus Female!

We also showed Red Angus for the first time at Perth coming home with reserve junior champion female with Goondoola VL Miss Wh***ey W17.

Our Charolais females, Venturon Naughty But Nice W90 and Starstruck W98 won the interbreed pair of heifers, finishing their year unbeaten in pair classes across three Royals and our major Ag show.

In the steers we had a great show as well with our Angus steer, bred by Pratico livestock sired by Venturon Sangria, winning reserve champion heavyweight steer 🤝

Sheep:
We had a tremendous show with our White Suffolks winning Supreme Sheep of the Show with our ewe and Reserve Interbreed Ram.

This followed on from winning our 3rd consecutive Supreme White Suffolk Exhibit with a ram in our three years of showing at Perth! A feat not many exhibitors have done.

We received Champion Ram, Champion Ewe, Reserve Champion Ram, Group of 3 Rams, Breeder’s Group of Three and Sire’s Progeny Group (Mertex 240354)!

In the Charollais we took out a clean sweep of champions and we are excited to see our whole show team of rams go under the hammer this Thursday!

We can’t thank our team enough for such a massive week - Brooke, Marcus, Sharnie, Boston and Sam!

To everyone who pitched in and lent a hand, and our friends, clients and family who dropped in to see us, we sure appreciate it!

We now tun our attention to our ram sale this Thursday at 1pm (online via AuctionsPlus) 😳👌

Cheers
TEAM VL 🤝
