A little rascal. A lot of punch. 🍋👀

Meet Billy Button ‘The Little Rascal’ Arneis — ah-nayze — a seriously sassy Italian white with plenty of personality.

Originally from Piedmont in Northern Italy, Arneis translates to ‘little rascal’ in the local dialect. This one certainly lives up to its name.

Grown at the Alpine Valleys Antonello Vineyard in Buffalo Creek, the mountain influence brings punchy flavour, zippy acidity and a beautiful mineral texture to this cool-climate white.

Think pink grapefruit | lemon pith | fennel | spice, with a zesty palate, oyster-shell minerality and chalky acidity.

And it’s not just us who think this little rascal is something special…

SCHIOPPETTINO IS BACK. 🍷 And it won’t be around for long.

One of our most anticipated releases has returned — the 2025 ‘The Surreptitious’ Schioppettino.

One of Italy’s rarest red varieties, Schioppettino has a remarkable history. Originating in Friuli, it was once almost lost to extinction before a handful of growers secretly preserved the remaining vines. Today, it remains exceptionally rare — especially here in Australia.

And we think the Alpine Valleys are a pretty special place for it to call home.

Naturally high in rotundone — the same compound responsible for the distinctive black pepper spice found in Shiraz — Schioppettino thrives in our cool climate, producing intensely aromatic w**es with vibrant red fruit, spice and savoury complexity.

Our 2025 vintage is bright, elegant and beautifully aromatic, with cherry, raspberry and pomegranate, delicate red rose florals, red pepper spice and fine, talc-like tannins.

🕰️ Optimal drinking: now until 2035

But here’s the catch…

Schioppettino is one of the most difficult varieties we grow. Poor fruit set and early-season leaf senescence mean yields are tiny — and this release is no exception.

Our previous vintages have sold quickly, with very little making it to the cellar door.

W**e Club members get first access. August W**e Club orders will be processed on 21 August, giving members the first opportunity to secure their bottles.

Any remaining w**e will be released publicly from the fourth week of August — while stocks last.

So, if Schioppettino has been on your list, now is the time.

From gaol walls to glass pours - NXNE brought North East Victoria pouring into the heart of Melbourne 🍷

Earlier this month, we headed to the historic Old Melbourne Gaol – City Watch House for North x North East (NXNE) Victorian W**e Festival North X North East Victoria W**e Festival — a celebration of the incredible w**es and w**emakers of North East Victoria.

Hosted by the wonderful Melissa Brauer aka The Prosecco Queen 👑 Melissa Brauer, the festival brought together seven w**e regions, with 60+ regional w**es to taste, local w**emakers to meet, great food and plenty of w**e to discover. 🍇

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the Billy Button W**es stall — and to those who went on to place an order online afterwards. Your support means so much to us! ❤️

We loved sharing a taste of the Alpine Valleys with you and showcasing what makes our little corner of North East Victoria so special.

Happy National Pinot Noir Day! 🍷🍒

Today we’re celebrating one of the world’s most cherished—and challenging—w**e varieties.

Pinot Noir had been a dream of the Billy Button team for years, but it didn’t make its way into our range until 2021. With very little Pinot Noir grown for red table w**e in the Alpine Valleys, we didn’t want to take it on unless we knew we could do it justice.

Jo and Glenn discovered the 25+ year-old Tynan Vineyard at Tawonga South—planted exclusively to Pinot Noir—which they reworked and rejuvenated. Our team managed the vineyard through the season, right through to the 2024 harvest, resulting in 2024 ‘The Promised’ Pinot Noir. 🍷

Cherry, dried mushroom, charcuterie & subtle charry notes, with firm, sinewy structure and crunchy acidity.

Optimal drinking: now until 2028.

⭐ 91 points – The W**efront, Campbell Mattinson - “Pretty and solid, varietal and inching into dry red territory… It’s a good w**e, all over.”

Our 2023 'The Elusive' Nebbiolo has made the Top 5 in Selector Magazine’s Nebbiolo tasting in the July/August 2026 edition! 🙌 Selector Magazine

“A Top 5 w**e that threaded the needle nicely between the poles of fine and delicate vs. depth and complexity.”

With aromas of smoky red cherries, cooking chocolate and cedar, the palate is described as light, lithe, balanced and long — with the reviewer adding, “As Nebbiolo goes, this one pushes all the right buttons.”

200 Victorian producers. 1,000 w**e professionals. One very big tasting! 🍷

A couple of weeks ago, the Drink Victorian trade tasting took over Marvel Stadium, bringing Victorian w**e producers of all sizes together under one roof.

It was a brilliant opportunity to showcase some new releases and reacquaint potential trade partners with our Alpine Valleys cool-climate w**es.

We were especially chuffed to see our Alpine Vista range featured among the highlights from **e_brain — our on-premise, on-the-pour range showcasing high country expressions of Vermentino, Barbera, Sangiovese and Shiraz.
