DANKE Welcome to Streusel German Sweets And Treats. We are a German - Australian family who have just returned from living in Germany for a couple of years and have settled in the beautiful leafy suburb of Diamond Creek. The area is similar to our old village in Germany where we fell in love with the German coffee and cake culture, particularly my Australian Husband :)

Every 🥨 is made from scratch using simple ingredients, shaped by hand and baked fresh until they’re perfectly golden on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.

No shortcuts. No artificial ingredients or fillers.

Just proper handmade pretzels made with love. 🥨❤️

And honestly… they don’t just taste good. They smell good, look good and somehow disappear VERY quickly…

🍓🍦 The perfect day for a homemade Spaghetti Ice Cream!

It’s so easy to make at home:
✨ freshly Whipped cream
✨ Vanilla ice cream pressed through a “potato masher”
✨ Homemade strawberry sauce
✨ White chocolate shavings on top

Simple, delicious, and just like you’d find in Germany. ❤️ Just don’t wait too long… eat it before it melts!

Slow fermented with our own sourdough starter. That natural process breaks down the grain, making it easier to digest and gentler on your gut.

Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked pretzels. 🥨

Made the traditional way with just a handful of simple ingredients and a little patience. Golden on the outside, soft on the inside and best enjoyed warm with butter.

🍓 Strawberry Vanilla Custard Cake 🍓

One of my favourite KUCHEN.

A classic German summer cake. Soft sponge, homemade vanilla custard, fresh organic strawberries and toasted flaked almonds.

Making this one was the perfect school holiday activity with my little boy. 🤎

There’s something special about baking together, especially with little boys. They might make a bit of a mess, but they learn, they help, and you end up with memories (and yummy cake) to share. 🤎 🍓

It instantly takes me back to my grandma’s kitchen in Germany, where homemade waffles were just part of our upbringing 🍒

Good things take time.

Our Laugenbrötchens are made with a slow overnight rise, giving the dough time to develop its flavour and soft, fluffy texture. Each roll is hand-shaped, scored, and dipped in lye for that classic pretzel crust before baking.

Golden on the outside, light and airy on the inside. 🥨🤎
